amy wilburn > little kingdom, big world (aka weird or scary little face) a 2007 winner in the Southern Shutters photography contest @ the Clay House Museum in Madison AL years ago, when I was more naive than I am now, and while my husband worked at tmi (not during the accident) he told me not to believe what newspapers, etc. write...that things are - - at the very least - - often taken out of context. well it hardly compares - - the small faux pas in the article about the southern shutters exhibit - - but I couldn't help remembering dave telling me that, when I was both misquoted (that's another story) AND they got the title of this photo wrong... the article said the photo is of my daughter's eyes 'looking at' a tree line (it didn't mention how abstract it is and the photo wasn't pictured), and without giving the orig. title added an extra word to its aka and called it 'our scary little face.' I laughed and laughed, I texted terri about it and laughed some more. finally she said, 'all right, mom, it isn't that funny,' but I found it hilarious. I felt it sounded as if she were downright hideous. well...it struck ME as funny...

amy wilburn > hi guys. i've been a little preoccupied with a dog we've been fostering and have decided to adopt. then last friday mark and jesse were rear-ended by a fire truck. their heads knocked out the back window of mark's pickup. they both went to the ER with concussions. mark's truck was totaled and he was fired from his job (even though he had an excuse from our doctor) because he'd already missed his limit of days. they're still hurting but gradually feeling better. and i'm back now:) in this pic i was trying to get mark's stubble:) this was last january. he has more scruff at the moment. i'd better go get my camera...

amy wilburn > planet "barns are noble 2" hi guys. remember me? probably not... i've been a terrible smugmug pal. i've been preoccupied with fostering basenjis http://www.basenjirescue.org/ (3 in the past 3 months!), designing literature for our church's expansion, and my sweet sister-in-law ginny - http://www.amywilburn.smugmug.com/keyword/ginny#297562015_Q7edY - has been dragging me around getting me to enter my pics in all kinds of art fairs and such. i even have part of a wall at a local starbucks. i'm sorry i've not checked out anyone's pics in a long time. thanks for checking on me, guys (laura, hillary and brian). i hope we're still pals, george. vandana, my son jesse was just talking about your neat photos yesterday as we sat outside with our pics in huntsville's sidewalk arts stroll. (even mark is complaining that i'm not putting up any more cool pics for him to use on his christianspaceonline and myspace.)
